Griner was married to Glory Johnson on May 8, 2015, in Phoenix after being engaged on August 14, 2014. Jonson is also associated with the Women’s National Basketball Association, so both became mates after sharing a similar profession.

They fought in their place, leading to injury, before the engagement but went to their wedding. However, they eventually went to part ways leading to filing for an annulment of the marriage, citing fraud and coercion.

After three years of the unsuccessful first marriage, Griner went to another wedding on June 2019 with Cherelle Watson. Before marriage, they were engaged in August 2018. She later went on to change her name to Cherelle Griner.

The babies are now seven years old in 2022. They are named Ava Simone and Solei Diem. Griner has not shared any posts with them, but her ex-wife keeps posting pictures together on social media platforms. 

Johnson also mentioned that Griner used to refer to herself as “Dad.” However, Brittney seems not to have interacted with those children after the split.

Brittney Griner was born to a homemaker mother and a former Harris County sheriff and Marine veteran Father. Her parents’ names are Raymond and Sandra Griner.

Along with that, she grew up with her three older siblings. Even though much information about her family member is not highlighted, when she exposed her sexuality, there were major headlines to their reaction.

Since Griner was not of straight sexual orientation, so her Father was upset regarding it. They constantly fought on the same matter, and eventually, she had to leave her home out of frustration.
