Chris Farley died in December 1997 from a “speedball” combination of cocaine and morphine, but his pals believe there’s more to his tragedy.

He was discovered dead on December 18, 1997, after a four-day binge, including alcohol and narcotics.

His brother John discovered him sprawled in the hallway of his Chicago apartment, wearing just his pajamas.

Farley allegedly began his binge at a Karma club, where he partied until approximately 2 am. The celebration then proceeded to his residence.

According to the authorities, There was no indication of wrongdoing or narcotics in the residence. A toxicology study took weeks to determine why Chris Farley died.

While some speculated instantly on drug and alcohol addiction, others indicated cardiac failure. Some even believed he choked to death.

The cause of death in January 1998 was discovered to be a fatal morphine and cocaine overdose known as a “speedball.”

Another key contributing element in Farley’s case was a constriction of the arteries that nourish the cardiac muscle.

Farley was born in Madison, Wisconsin, on February 15, 1964. He was raised in Maple Bluff. 

Both Irish-Americans, Thomas Farley Sr., and Mary Anne Farley, gave birth to Chris Farley. His Father was the owner of an oil firm, while his mother was a homemaker.

Tom Jr., Kevin, John, and Barbara were his four siblings. He is from a Roman Catholic family of Irish origin.

He spent several summers at “Red Arrow Camp” as a camper and a counselor in Minocqua, Wisconsin. He attended ‘Edgewood High School of the Sacred Heart, among other Catholic institutions.

He was also extremely close to his parents, three brothers, and sister. Kevin Farley, his brother, appeared in every one of his films.

Kevin and his younger brother, John Farley, are also performers and comedians, just like Chris, and starred in the 2015 documentary I Am Chris Farley, discussing their experiences with Chris.
