The picture went viral and had more than 4 million likes. While many expressed shock over the sudden marriage announcement, many were skeptical and did not believe the news. 

However, within ten days of announcing his apparent wedding with the model, Dan shared a video surrounded by bikini-clad models on Instagram, writing, “Marriage is a trap, stay single, smoke.”

It has baffled fans even more; some think he never got married in the first place, while others believe it was one of the shortest marriages ever to exist. Likely, he was just pranking the media.

Dan Bilzerian Comes From An Armenian-American Family

Dan Bilzerian was born Daniel Brandon Bilzerian in Tampa, Florida, United States, to his parents, Paul Bilzerian and Terri Steffen. His Father, Paul, is a businessman and corporate takeover specialist. Dan is of half-Armenian descent through his dad. 

Paul is a rather controversial figure, having been a convicted felon. He was charged concerning failed takeover attempts of Hammermill Paper Company and Cluett and Peabody and Company in the 1980s and served a prison sentence of 13 months.

He was also ordered to withdraw his profits, leading him to bankruptcy and a 32-year-long legal battle with the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission). Paul has maintained that he has been factually and legally innocent for the past 33 years.

Dan’s grandparents are Joan Bilzerian and Oscar Bilzerian. His younger brother Adam Bilzerian is also a poker player. Their Father reportedly provided Dan and Adam with trust funds before he was arrested.

The younger Bilzerian brother came 47th in the World Series of Poker in 2009, winning $138,568. Norman Chad nicknamed Adam and Dan the “Flying Bilzerian Brothers.”

Dan attended the University of Florida, majoring in Business and Criminology but dropped out to pursue a professional poker career. Born on December 7, 1980, he is currently 41.
