Although the English broadcaster is 96 years old, David shows no sign of giving up soon.

David Attenborough Life And Family

David was born to his parents on May 8, 1926, in Isleworth, Middlesex, as the middle son of three sons.

Attenborough was raised in College House on the University of Leicester campus, where his father, Frederick, served as the school’s headmaster.

His parents also served as foster parents to two Jewish refugee girls from Germany during the Second World War through the Refugee Children’s Movement, a British volunteer organization.

David’s younger brother John was an executive at the Italian automaker Alfa Romeo who passed away in 2012. Meanwhile, his older brother Richard rose to fame as an actor and director who passed away in 2014.

For his education, David attended Wyggeston Grammar School for Boys in Leicester. He also received a degree in natural sciences after winning a scholarship to Clare College, Cambridge, where he studied geology and zoology.

Attenborough wed Jane Elizabeth Ebsworth Oriel in 1950. The couple had two children, Robert and Susan. However, Jane died in 1997.

Attenborough’s son, Robert, is a senior lecturer in bioanthropology at the Australian National University at Canberra’s School of Archaeology and Anthropology. In contrast, Susan was formerly the principal of an elementary school.
