And further added that her late daughter Gigi would have been so proud to see her father get inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Moreover, she went on to talk about Kobe’s accomplishments on and off the court.

Vanessa praised her husband for his five NBA championships.

And for how he was a great dad to his children as well.

Kobe’s widow concluded by saying, “Congratulations, baby. All of your hard work and sacrifices are paid off.”

“You’re not just an MVP. You are an all-time great. I’m so proud of you. I love you forever and always.”

As Vanessa addressed the audience, Michael stood beside her silently with teary eyes.

Further, his presence was compelling at the stage, symbolizing his deep sense of loss and grief towards his late fellow player.

Vanessa comforted Michael by reminding him that Kobe admired Michael and his presence means so much to them.

Daughter Natalia’s Participation

Kobe was elected into the Hall of Fame in the April of last year, but it took a year to get him inducted officially.

His daughter Natalia decided to honor this moment by wearing his jacket and his ring at the ceremony.

Kobe and Vanessa’s 18 years old daughter Natalia was photographed by media wearing the burnt orange jacket during the Tip-Off Celebration and Awards Gala.

More Than A Year Of The Unfortunate Incident

The news of Kobe and his daughter Gianna’s deaths came as a shock to the world in the January of last year.

The fatal helicopter accident resulted in taking the lives of Kobe, Gigi, and seven other passengers on board.

Reflecting on the whole event, Vanessa had penned down a message online saying that she misses her baby girl and husband so much.

And that she will never understand why or how this tragedy could have happened to such beautiful, kind, and amazing human beings.

Well! we can only imagine the sorrow Vanessa had to endure during such difficult times.

Although Kobe is not with us anymore, Vanessa recently marked her 20th wedding anniversary with him in April 2021.

Moreover, had Gigi been alive, she would have celebrated her fifteenth birthday this May.

As for now, Vanessa is busy raising their three daughters Natalia, Capri, and Bianka.

And wishes to keep her husband and daughter alive through their memories.
