Tim Duncan was born on April 25, 1976, to the professional midwife, Ione, and a mason, William Duncan.

When Tim was 14 years old, his mom died of breast cancer.

He was raised with his two older sisters, Cheryl and Tricia, and an older brother, Scott Duncan, in Saint Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands.
