Liam Payne Confirms Split from Maya Henry!
The former One Direction member Liam Payne and his fiancee Maya Henry have officially parted ways.
The confirmation of their split came from none other than the singer himself on Monday, June 7.
While appearing on The Diary of a CEO podcast, Liam revealed that he is no longer engaged to the American model.
The Strip That Down hitmaker admitted being disappointed in himself as he keeps on hurting people in his life.
Further, he added that it would be best for him and his former fiancee to take some time apart from each other.
The singer did not disclose the exact reason behind ending their engagement.
But he overall reflected on the whole situation during the Monday podcast.
A Heart-to-heart Conversation About Relationships
Liam told the podcast host Steven Bartlett that the split-up happened during the lockdown.
Things did not seem to be working for them, so the relationship had to end.
In fact, the singer took the blame by saying that he has not been very good at relationships lately.
He said it feels like he needs to work on himself before putting himself on to somebody else.
Moreover, he explained he wasn’t giving a perfect version of himself to his relationship with Maya, and that’s where the trouble began.
The For You singer added he is not very happy that things turned out to be like this.
But he feels better now that he is out of the relationship.
Further, the singer also revealed he is one month sober from booze in the Monday podcast.
Meanwhile, there is no official statement or anything from Maya about their breakup.
Ending A Three-year-long Relationship
The pair initially sparked their romance rumors back in the summer of 2018 when they were first spotted together.
After nearly a year of dating each other, the couple became Instagram official in September 2019.
Further, the engagement speculations started swirling around after the model was spotted wearing a diamond ring while out on dinner in August 2020.
Shortly after that, Liam officially announced his engagement to Maya during an appearance on Good Morning America.
Moreover, the engagement ring was reported to worth more than $4 million.
He had shared that the two were very happy to have found each other.
Besides, the two attended many public events as a couple during the span of their relationship.
The couple had last appeared together in public at the Fashion Awards in London in December 2019.
Relationship With Cheryl Cole And Son- Bear
Liam, 27, was previously in a relationship with singer Cheryl Cole, 37, with whom he shares a son.
The formal lovers dated each other from 2016 to 2018. And their son, Bear Grey Payne, was born in March 2017.
In April 2021, the Familiar singer spoke candidly about co-parenting son Bear with his ex Cheryl.
He said that Cheryl is literally the best person to co-parent with.
According to him, there is no stress involved, and it is very, very relaxed.
Liam also added that the two spend a lot of time on FaceTime.
And he is closer to her and son Bear than he has ever been before.
