Maci Bookout is not dead but alive, and she is the victim of a death hoax.

Maci Bookout McKinney is well-known for series such as 16 and Pregnant and Teen Mom. However, current reports suggest that the 29-year-old reality star is no longer alive.

The evidence, on the other hand, suggests differently.

Maci Bookout had a near-death encounter in a gas shooting event last year.

Many people were taken aback by the death hoax. 

The reality star had stopped at a gas station in October 2020. Bookout was allegedly on her way to pick up her son, Bentley, for his birthday.

The gunshot, however, came out of nowhere, and Maci had to rescue herself by locking herself in the toilet. She finally contacted her husband, Taylor McKinney, who dashed to the station.

The reality personality was diagnosed with PTSD as a result of the incident. She even urged the show’s producers not to videotape her.

Bookout only revealed her story in the March 23, 2021 episode.

Maci Bookout Family: Meet Her Parents

Bookout was born to her parents Gene and Sharon Bookout. 

She attended Chattanooga State Community College after graduating from Ooltewah High School in 2009 and received an Associate of Arts degree.

She has an elder brother named Matt. 

Maci’s family supported her through the ups and downs of her career.

Maci was cast in the spin-off series Teen Mom, and she appeared in all four seasons till it ended in 2012. Bookout, along with Catelynn Baltierra and Farrah Abraham, returned to MTV in March 2015 for the fifth season of Teen Mom OG.

Maci Bookout Relationship Timeline Explored

Maci was pregnant with her first child with then-boyfriend Ryan Edwards, and Bentley Cadence was born on October 27, 2008. They were engaged in 2009, but their relationship ended in 2010. Bookout began dating childhood buddy Kyle King after his separation from Edwards. 

The couple briefly lived together before calling it quits in 2012 amid rumors of King’s infidelity.

In 2012, Bookout began dating Taylor McKinney, a motocross rider from Texas. The couple announced in January 2015 that Bookout was expecting their first child together, and Jayde Carter was born on May 29, 2015. 

McKinney proposed to Bookout on January 19, 2016, while filming an episode of Teen Mom OG in Venice Beach, California, just days before the couple announced Bookout was pregnant with their second child together. On May 31, 2016, Maci gave birth to her son Maverick Reed.

Bookout and McKinney married on October 8, 2016, in Greenville, Florida.

Since the birth of their kid, Bookout has had disagreements with ex-Ryan Edwards. Bookout and her husband Taylor filed an order of protection against Edwards in March 2018 after claims Edwards left voicemail messages threatening to abduct their son and making threats against Bookout and McKinney.
