Rebagliati put a daring gate-clipping run at the Olympics, and his overall winning run was timed at 2:30.96.

Olympics Marijuana Controversy

Rebagliati’s celebration of the gold medal did not last for long as his gold was soon revoked. The revocation was officiated after traces of marijuana found in his urine.

Ross protested this decision claiming that it had been from secondhand smoke.

However, the disqualification was uplifted as marijuana was not a performance-enhancing drug. The gold medal was restored to Rebagliati.
