Several speculations about contestants of The Great British Bake Off Rebs and Abdul’s health issues were speculated after the audiences noticed the absence of their favorite participant in the renowned Baking Reality Show.
Two bakers were absent from the Great British Baking Show tent for episode three: Rebs Lightbody and Abdul Rehman Sharif both missed bread week, gravitation the attention of the fans towards health.

Who Are Rebs And Abdul?
The 23 years Rebs is a Masters’s Student from Country Antrim in Northern Ireland. The contestant can play the tin whistle and enjoys Irish dance.
The baker enjoys cooking with Middle Eastern ingredients, a nod to her boyfriend Jack’s Turkish heritage. Rebs believe the pandemic lockdown ignited a spark to her baking journey.
Talking about her baking journey, she enjoyed helping her mum in the kitchen when baking; Rebs used to mix flour and eat raw cake batter with a spoon.
London-based Electronics engineer Abdul was raised in Saudi Arabia by his Pakistani parents.

Are Rebs And Abdul Sick?
As Noel Fielding and Matt Lucas explained at the start of tonight’s episode, Rebs and Abdul will be sitting out of Bread Week as they were feeling “under the weather,” but hopefully, they’ll be back to take on the next challenge.
Showrunners at Channel 4 confirmed the news that Rebs and Abdul would be missing from Tuesday evening’s episode of Great British Bake Off 2022.
Despite sailing through the last two rounds of the competition, Abdul won’t be showing off his flour-throwing skills this evening, as many viewers will have noticed that he’s missing from tonight’s episode.
Following their health issues, several online portals speculated if Rebs and Abdul tested positive for COVID after rebs tweeted I was forced to go home for the safety of all in the tent.
According to Decider, Rebs continued to double down via tweet that she was upset to miss “Bread Week,” sharing a sad selfie and that she cried.
Meanwhile, despite numerous discussions about their absence, Abdul was unavailable in the social media limelight.
Why Were They Missing?
Noel Fielding and Matt Lucas announced at the start of the episode that both Abdul and Rebs would be sitting out this week as they were feeling unwell.
The Irish baker was also the subject of some controversy last week when viewers alleged she kept asking for help from her fellow bakers. Yet, fellow contestant Janusz defended her, tweeting, “I offered Rebs a helping hand as I finished before time; you just don’t see it on TV! You only see Rebs asking me, but it was offered prior!”
Rebs and Abdul will return to the tent for the upcoming episode of The Great British Baking Show, “Mexican Week,” according to co-host Noel Fielding.
