Trista Sutter Illness And Health Update 2022; Lyme Disease Diagnosis; Where Is She Now?

Trista Sutter’s Illness has concerned her fans since she revealed her seizure experience.

Trista’s husband, Ryan had also been battling symptoms for five months and wasn’t getting any better. 

When no one could explain why her former NFL player husband had been battling a mystery illness for months, Trista first revealed it in November of last year.

Trista detailed the months-long battle they had as a couple to identify the cause of his illness in a lengthy Instagram post. They were able to rule out Cancer at the time, but they were still trying to diagnose his condition.

Trista Sutter, the first “Bachelorette” star, opened up about the terrifying medical emergency and how she is coping with the unanswered questions about her health. Trista Sutter suffered a seizure while on vacation with her family in Croatia.

When Sutter violently seized and fell on top of her daughter Blakesley, 8, she was on tour with her husband Ryan Sutter, whom she met on the show in 2003. They also had their son Maxwell, 9, and daughter Blakesley, 8.

Despite having dealt with his fair share of emergencies, Ryan, a trained EMT, said it terrified him to see his wife in this situation. He said that he was checking her pulse while she was shaking. He also revealed that her eyes were wide open, and she wasn’t breathing.

Sutter was taken by ambulance to a medical facility in eastern Europe, where she underwent various tests. She told ABC News that although doctors could not definitively determine what was wrong with her, they had advised against driving until she saw a neurologist in the United States.

Trista also expressed concern about her daughter’s potential effects from the incident.

Trista Sutter’s Husband Has Lyme Disease

Before receiving a diagnosis, the former “Bachelorette” revealed her husband’s health issues in November 2021.

Ryan claimed that in addition to these signs and symptoms, he also experienced deep muscle and body aches, fevers, night sweats, full-body itching without any rash, headaches, neck and throat swelling, congestion, lightheadedness, nausea, and a general feeling of unwellness.

Days later, Ryan disclosed his symptoms in a string of Instagram posts that revealed the severity of his condition. Although he said his symptoms were “flu-like,” he never tested positive for COVID-19 when he was tested.

After spending countless months in the dark about the mystery illness he had been battling for almost a year, Ryan finally explained his official diagnosis on Trista’s podcast, “Better Etc.” in May. He told his story to the audience and urged them to speak up for their health if they felt something wasn’t right.

Trista And Ryan Sutter Health Update 2024

Going into 2022, Trista Sutter revealed that she feels “a renewed sense of peace.” In the midst of her husband’s health problems, the former Bachelorette shared an uplifting message.

Ryan Sutter reflected on the “overwhelming” attention he has received since disclosing his health issues and shared how he is managing his Lyme disease.

The former ABC personality told his followers that he feels “excited” and “happy” with how he’s improved despite his ups and downs over the past two years.

Ryan has also had knee surgery since being given his diagnosis. In June 2021, he completed his firefighter training, and as he celebrated the occasion, he thanked his loved ones for their unwavering support.

Trista posted several pictures of herself and her family to Instagram, telling her followers that she’s leaving Florida with a much-needed sense of peace, gratitude, motivation, and family and that she’s returning from the holidays in a better state than when she left them.
