Anna Bessonova was born on 29th July of 1984 as Ganna Volodymyrivna Bessonova.

She was born in Kyiv to Vladimir Bessonov, father, and Viktoria Serkyh.

Bessonova was the youngest in the Ukrainian team during the 1999 World Championship, held in Osaka, Japan.
