On August 27, 2019, Harry Dunn, a 19-year-old British citizen, was killed in a car accident. He was struck by a car traveling in another direction, on the wrong side of the road, while riding a motorcycle near Croughton, Northamptonshire, in the United Kingdom.
Former US spy Anne Sacoolas was stationed at the time at USAF listening post-RAF Croughton and is the wife of CIA team member Jonathan Sacoolas.
It is confirmed that she had been driving the car on the wrong side of the road, and the Police said they suspected that to be the case based on CCTV evidence.

Anne Sacoolas admitted that she caused Harry Dunn’s death. On October 20, 2022, at 8:07 pm, six minutes, US citizen Anne Sacoolas acknowledged killing adolescent Harry Dunn in a deadly car accident, putting an end to a three-year effort to convict her.
On August 27, 2019, the 45-year-old driver struck Mr. Dunn’s motorcycle outside a US military base in Northamptonshire while traveling on the incorrect side of the road.
On Thursday, family members of the Dunns were present at the Old Bailey as Sacoolas, appearing through a video link from America, pleaded guilty to causing death by careless driving.
Behind the barristers were parents Charlotte Charles and Tim Dunn, who had spectators in the public gallery wearing lime green ties and scarves.
Sacoolas was asked to travel to the UK for the hearing as a sign of repentance by Mrs. Justice Cheema Grubb, who postponed the sentencing until late November.
According to her, the lowest possible sentence was a medium-level community order, and the highest possible sentence was a three-year prison term.
She conceded, however, that if Sacoolas stays in the US, any term imposed will be null and void.
Who is Anne Sacoolas’ husband Jonathan Sacoolas’?
Jonathan Saccolas is a Northampton-based US diplomat and purported NSA spy. He was born in Oregon and graduated from South Salem High School before enrolling at the University of Southern California to study electrical engineering.
When the diplomat married in 2003, he worked for the Defense Department. Jonathan’s wife, Anne Sacoolas, left Britain when Harry Dunn, 19, was killed in a hit-and-run accident.
The US embassy had confirmed that Anne was the vehicle’s driver when the teen’s motorbike crashed close to RAF Croughton, resulting in his death. Later, it was revealed that Anne had been traveling on the wrong side of the road when she struck Harry.

On the evening of August 27, 2019, Harry Dunn, a resident of Charlton near Banbury, was riding his motorbike on the B4031 road around 400 yards (370 m) from the exit of RAF Croughton when he was hit by a car.
The vehicle’s driver was Anne Sacoolas, a former US spy and the spouse of a CIA agent stationed at RAF Croughton’s US Air Force listening post.
Police asserted that they thought the Volvo XC90 had left the base exit driving on the wrong side of the road, which Sacoolas later acknowledged.
In 2006, Sacoolas received a traffic ticket in the US state of Virginia for “failure to pay full time and attention.”
According to the BBC, the Sacoolas family had just been in the UK for three weeks. Dunn’s injuries were classified as category two by call takers for the emergency phone call, requiring a medical response within 40 minutes.
The ambulance arrived 43 minutes after the crash. Later, the chief executive of East Midlands Ambulance Service claimed that the classification was irrelevant due to a crew shortage because the patient’s closest doctor was miles away.
Dunn was declared dead at Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital’s Major Trauma Center. On September 17, a funeral was held before being cremated at a crematorium in Oxfordshire.
