Max Fried was born on January 18th of 1994, in Santa Monica, California of United States. His father’s name is Jonathan Fried and his mother’s name is Carrie Fried.
Max is the middle child and has an older and younger sibling. His younger brother Jack Fried is also a baseball pitcher. So you can say that baseball passion runs in the family.

San Diego Padres
After graduating high school, Max Fried immediately got drafted into the San Diego Padres in the first round in their seventh overall selection for the 2012 draft.

He was initially eyeing on the UCLA Bruins Baseball team but somehow ended up signing for the San Diego Padres for three million dollars.
Max made his professional debut in 2012 with the Arizona League Padres with a 3.57 ERA, and 17.2 innings pitched.

Atlanta Braves
In 2015, Max Fried was traded by the Padres to the Atlanta Braves for Justin Upton and Aaron Northcraft. Max was still recovering from his injury and did not perform that season.
He made a comeback in the 2016 season with the Rome Braves with a 3.93 ERA in the 21 games that he played. The South Atlantic League named him the 6th best prospect.
By 2017, Max was training in the spring and began playing the Double AA category for the Mississippi Braves.
