Nicole Gee was married to her husband Jarod Gee.

Sgt. Gee served in the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit of the United States Marine Corps and was stationed at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. Sgt. 23-year-old Gee was one of the 13 military personnel murdered in the August attack on the Kabul airport.

Gee uploaded a picture of herself in uniform cuddling a child in Kabul to Instagram just a few days before she passed away, writing the message, “I adore my job.” Gee served in the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit as a maintenance technician.
