Bruiser Brody Stabbed; The professional wrestler had been stabbed to death in the stomach twice and not on his forehead! His real name was Frank Donald Goodish; he earned his greatest fame under the ring name Bruiser Brody as a wrestling champion. 

Sadly, he was murdered from stab wounds in July 1988 by José González. With this, everyone lost one of the wrestling champions, and his fans were highly saddened after learning the news and demanded justice for him.

Was Bruiser Brody Stabbed On His Forehead? Murdered By José González

In a wrestling event in Puerto Rico, Bruiser Brody was stabbed in the stomach twice by José González, better known as Invader I. He died in 1988 from stab wounds suffered backstage in a shower; he was 42 years old then.

Before that, Jose had asked him to come to the shower area to discuss their business-related work. After some time, people could hear both of them screaming loud enough. Their fellow mate, Tony Atlas, immediately saw Brody bent over and holding his stomach, whereas Gonzalez was holding a knife.

As there was a huge crowd and heavy traffic outdoors, it took a long time for paramedics to get him. Even after that, they could not carry him toward the ambulance, and Atlas helped him reach them. He later died of wounds and injuries caused by the stabbing.

Bruiser Brody Murdered By José González Case Update

Bruiser Brody’s murder by José González was considered self-defense as the case was concluded without proper verification.

Even though he was charged with murder, he pleaded self-defense, and partly due to the weak justice system in Puerto Rico, he was somewhat left because nobody was at his trial on behalf of Brody.

Tony Atlas and Dutch Mantel, their wrestling mate present then, were supposed to be called for the trial. Still, they only got their invitation after the problem, and the murderer went on as if nothing had happened and continued to play. Due to a late procedure from them, the case was closed.

Bruiser Brody Wife And Children

Bruiser Brody was married twice when he was alive. Firstly, when in 1968, he tied the knot with Nola Neece, but the pair eventually parted ways in 1970.

After that, he married Barbara Smith from New Zealand. His death caused the couple to separate. The duo also had a son named Geoffrey Dean, born November 7, 1980, around 42 years old.

She explained that while his wrestling attitude was known for brutality and being uncontrollable, Brody was the complete opposite with his family; he was loving and extremely caring to them. 

After his death, she has talked publicly many times, remembering her husband and his legacy and loving nature towards the family, while much is not known about his son.
