Police Lt. Adam Sharki said in the news that the infant was suffering from trauma to her body, indicating she was the victim of a violent crime.
Police were informed about the incident shortly around 11:30 am about a possible death of an infant inside the apartment on San Diego Mission Road near Rancho Mission Road. When authorities and paramedics arrived, they found an “obviously deceased” baby in the home.
SDPD reported they are still working to determine the circumstances surrounding the infant’s death, including a motive.
