A little over a year later, on March 13, 2021, Ebanie faced off against Carol Earl for the vacant Australian National Boxing Federation super-bantamweight title at Bankstown City Paceway in Sydney, which she won with a unanimous decision, with judges Ian Batty, Wayne Douglas, and Kevin Hogan scoring the fight 80–72, 80–72, and 79–73 in her favor.

Then, on March 26, 2022, she challenged the reigning IBF female bantamweight champion, María Cecilia Román. The fight happened at the First Direct Arena in Leeds, England, as part of the undercard for the Kiko Martinez and Josh Warrington featherweight title match.

Eventually, Ebanie Bridges emerged victorious, with the judges’ scorecards revealing her dominance, with two judges scoring the fight 97–93 in her favor and the third judge awarding her all ten rounds of the match.

It was her first IBF female bantamweight title, and she has held it ever since.

Ebanie Bridges life has changed drastically over the years.

Ebanie earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with a minor in Physical Education from Western Sydney University while simultaneously pursuing her boxing career as an amateur.

After her practical training at Mount Annan High School, she worked as a certified math teacher at Airds High School. 

Then, continuing her education, she graduated at the top of her class with a Master’s degree in Teaching.

Getting to combat sports, she holds a black belt in Karate and participated in the fourth season of SAS Australia, a quasi-military training reality TV program, but was eliminated in episode 11.

Now, she holds the IBF female bantamweight title.
