People have been searching for Kenneth Starr Wife, Alice Mendell as the famous lawyer and former died at the age of 78. 

According to his family, Kenneth Starr, the Texas attorney who headed the Whitewater investigation that led to President Bill Clinton’s impeachment, died on Tuesday at 76.

Alice Mendell, Kenneth Starr’s wife, grew up in Mamaroneck, New York, was involved in several philanthropies, and served as president of the McLean Chamber of Commerce in the mid-1990s.

She earned a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Skidmore College and a Master’s degree in education from the University of Miami.

In 2005, she volunteered at charitable organizations and worked with Starr Strategies to help them organize their marketing and fundraising initiatives.

Her credentials are significant; she worked for West Group, a real estate company, for 16 years and was the director of consumer affairs for NVR, a national housebuilder company.

She was also the vice president for business and community services at the Washington Airports Task Force, a member of the Cardinal Financial Corp. Board of Directors, and a member of the advisory boards of Base Technologies Inc. and Childhelp USA.

She also directed the Claude Moore Colonial Farm, the McLean Project for the Arts, and the Medical Care for Children Partnership.

Mendell’s charitable activities ranged from becoming the director of the American Red Cross for the National Capital Region to assisting with Access Ministries. This program helps families with children with severe impairments.

Mendell has garnered multiple honors for her humanitarian work during her career, including the Outstanding Business Citizen of the Year Award and the McLean Citizen of the Year Award.

Mendell and Ken Starr married on August 23, 1970, following the announcement of the couple’s engagement in The New York Times.

Mendell had recently finished her junior year at Skidmore College in New York and was about to transfer to Duke University, where she would study law alongside Starr.

The couple’s three children were Randall Starr, Carolyn S. Doolittle, and Cynthia S. Roemer.

Starr became President of Baylor University and was a crucial figure in the Whitewater affair, which sprang from the Clintons’ involvement in a property development project in Arkansas.

According to The Guardian, Starr was involved in the Jeffrey Epstein case in recent years and played a role in clearing the sex offender and accused sex trafficker of significant federal charges.

Starr joined former President Donald Trump’s defense team in his first impeachment trial in early 2020.

Starr died on September 13, 2022, following a long struggle with his deteriorating health.

Starr died of surgical complications at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center in Houston, according to the Starr family.

Randall told KWTX on behalf of himself and his brothers about his father’s death: “We are devastated by the death of our wonderful and loving Father and Grandfather, whom we revered for his tireless work ethic but who always prioritized his family.

“Dad’s love, vitality, adorable sense of humor, and fun-loving interest in each of us were genuinely unique, and we treasure the many lovely memories we could share with him. He has gone to be with his Lord and Savior.”
