Ed Shin Parents: Who Was He Born To?

Ed Shin was born to his parents on July 17, 1976. His father’s name is James Smith, and his mother’s name is unknown.

He hasn’t released any additional information about his family members or parents on the internet.

Edward was born in California to immigrant parents and graduated from the University of California, San Diego. 

He had an excellent college education, was married to his wife Karen, was the father of three lovely children, was engaged in his local church, and was an exemplary community member.

Ed Shin Murder Case: What Happened?

Ed met his future employer at his local church’s bible study group after coming to Orange County. He was hired right away because of his sales skills and would go on to become a very key employee. 

He was employed by LG Tech, a lead generation firm. Shin’s bosses had a lot of faith in him, and he seemed to be doing a wonderful job. They couldn’t be more pleased with his results.

However, this was not the case. Ed Shin was losing money on his frequent business excursions to Las Vegas. 

He would entice potential clients by providing them with the most significant automobiles to drive them around, the most luxurious suites to reside in, and arm candy for when they went out at night. 

Apart from that, he had a major gambling habit and the massive debts that generally accompany it.

While working for LG Tech, he co-founded a competing company called ‘800XChange’ with Chris Smith. He was notorious for stealing clients for his firm. 

Shin had already embezzled about $2.5 million from the corporation when LG Tech discovered the theft, and they pursued him legally.

Ed Shin was ordered to pay $800,000 in restitution to LG Tech by June of that year in order to escape jail. 

This would only be conceivable if he could obtain the funds from his own business. Chris, on the other hand, was not on board with this and wanted to protect his personal earnings. He was eager to sell his stake in the company to Ed.

Shin saw no way out of his financial situation. On June 4, under the premise of signing the contract, he called Chris and fatally smashed his head in a violent argument. 

He then pretended to be Chris and emailed his family, claiming to be leaving for a three-week trip to the Galapagos Islands. To keep his acts hidden, he would occasionally email Chris’s loved ones.

Ed Shin was a businessman from California who was convicted of the murder of his business associate Chris Smith. In the present, he is imprisoned and will be there for the rest of the day.

According to media reports, Instead of accepting the $1 million payoff for his collaborator, the man murdered him. To escape jail, he was forced to pay $800,000 in damages to LG Tech by June of the same year.

He still claims that he had no intention of killing Chris and that it happened in the heat of the moment. Chris’s body was never located, and Shin said that he paid a strange Eastern European man $10,000-$15,000 to take care of it.
