Who Is Ladarrin Ceazer? 29 Years Old Man Shot And Killed Kiara Cooper – Arrest Charge And Family

Tennessee’s MEMPHIS — A week after being discovered dead outside of her South Memphis apartment complex, a Memphis man has been charged with her murder.

MPD has ordered Ladarrin Ceazer’s arrest. According to surveillance footage, the suspect was seen departing in a blue/gray four-door sedan, probably a Nissan Altima. 

On Tuesday, September 13, 2022, Memphis Police responded to a shooting call at the 1900 block of Asa Drive. Upon arrival, officers found a female victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics made the scene and pronounced the female victim deceased. Surveillance video from the scene shows the suspect leaving in a blue/gray 4-door sedan, possibly a Nissan Altima.

The investigation led officers to issue a warrant for the arrest of Ladarrin Ceazer for Second Degree of Murder in this case.

Memphis Police responded to a gunshot at an apartment complex on September 13. Officers arrived and discovered the man lying on the ground, shot multiple times, and unable to move. The Memphis Fire Department declared her deceased at the spot.

The mother of the victim was also present. Ladarrin Ceazer, 29, the ex-boyfriend of her daughter, she claimed, visited the flat and started a conversation with her.

The victim requested Ceazer to leave when she overheard her mother talking with him. Ceazer and the victim then got into a fight.

When her daughter was standing next to her, the mother said that Ceazer fired and murdered her. According to investigators, a witness to Cooper’s murder named Ceazer was the shooter.

Then Ceazer left the area. In a photo lineup, the victim’s mother correctly identified Ceazer. According to surveillance footage, the suspect was seen departing in a blue/gray four-door sedan, probably a Nissan Altima. MPD has ordered Ladarrin Ceazer’s arrest.

Ceazer is accused of second-degree murder, felony criminal attempt, and firearm use during the commission of a serious offense. Ceazer will appear before a judge on Wednesday. He has been charged with second-degree murder and is being jailed without bond.

The families of the suspect and victim have not yet been made public. Only the victim’s mother’s identification of the suspect on CCTV footage is known to us. We’ll let you know as soon as we learn more about his family and the charges against him.
