People are curious about Lowell Melser wife, Aly, as the WBAL TV meteorologist is about to leave the channel. 

Lowell, who is well-known for his storytelling abilities, moved from WAVY-TV in Norfolk, Virginia, where he worked as an anchor and general assignment reporter, to WBAL-TV. 

He covered stories like the sniper trials in Washington, D.C., Hurricane Isabel’s devastation, and the September 11 terrorist attacks while reporting from the USS Truman aircraft carrier. Prior to that, he was employed by Montgomery, Alabama’s WAKA-TV as a weekend anchor.

Lowell Melser wished his wife an anniversary through his Twitter. He said, “Happy Anniversary to my sweet wife, Alyson. At the O’s game site of our first date. Got the wbaltv11 tix too! :-).” They were married in the date August 31.

Why Is Lowell Melser Leaving WBAL? 

Consequently, when Melser announced he was retiring from broadcasting, WBAL-TV 11 News viewers were highly saddened. He expressed his readiness to advance to the next phase of his career on his official social media accounts, saying that he was grateful for his experiences as a reporter and meteorologist.

On January 15, Melser finished his final day of broadcasting for WBAL-TV. He did his final weathercast with the help of his family and coworkers.

This is not, however, a farewell to Baltimore. Melser accepted a new position working for the city so that he would stay in the Greater Baltimore Area.

He will start his new job as Baltimore County’s Department of Public Works’ chief public information officer.

He will use his meteorology skills on the job as well.

Even though he won’t be reporting on the weather for TV, his new job may occasionally see him appear. He will continue interacting with his followers on social media by being active there.
