Joanna pen downed, writing, “My sweet girl turns 16. I’m trying my darnedest not to cry like a big fat mama baby when she drives off by herself tomorrow.”
The “Fixer Upper” star shared an adorable Instagram video on October 19 of her living room filled with pastel-colored balloons, gifts, and streamers in honor of her daughter, Ella, turning 16.
Besides her adorable daughters, she has three sons, Drake, Duke, and Crew, with her husband, Chip Gaines.

Joanna shared a sneak peek of the finished product of her memoir, The Stories We Tell, and wrote, “I loved the whole process of bringing this book to life, but having my daughter, Ella, help design the cover was the very best part of it all.
Joanna, who shares daughter Ella with husband Chip Gaines, hung colorful balloons throughout the family’s living and dining area and put a “sweet sixteen” banner above the kitchen table.
