Dutch motorcycle racer Victor Steeman made several headlines after he lost his life from his injuries from a crash at the first race of the Portimão round of that season.
Victor competed in the Supersport 300 World Championship intermittently from 2018 until 2022. Riding the KTM RC 390 R, the racer scored the first world championship point and ended in the fifteenth position in the Portimão GP.
The Dutch racer made his world debut in 2018 in the Supersport 300, participating in the last two Grand Prix of the 2018 season as a replacement driver.
In 2020, the racer competed in the German IDM championship in the 600 class, where he won the Assen race and finished the season in the fifth position.
Who Is Victor Steeman, Mother Flora van Limbeek?
The Dutch racer Victor was born on June 15, 2000, in Zevenaar, the Netherlands, to his parents, Flora van Limbeek and William Steeman.
The family of Victor Steeman has been dealt another crushing blow just two days after the racer got killed in the World Superbikes star in a horrific crash in Portugal.
Victor had won four Supersport 300 World Championship races this season before crashing at the Algarve International Circuit on Saturday.
In 2022, Steeman moved to the Dutch MTM team riding a Kawasaki. In the Assen GP, he won his fourth pole position and his second career victory.
In the season finale on October 8 at the Algarve International Circuit, he suffered a serious accident in the first race and thus did not finish and was ruled out of the second race.

Victor Steeman’s Accident Update: Is He Alive?
After being involved in an accident during the WorldSSP300 race, Victor Steeman tragically died aged just 22 due to a horrific multi-car crash at the FIM Supersport 300 World Championship Race 1 in Portugal.
He died when he was involved in an awful crash on Turn 14 at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve. Although, he was airlifted to the hospital with the race red-flagged.
On October 8, 2022, Victor was competing in World Supersports 300 (WorldSSP300) Championship in Portugal when he was “involved in a multi-rider incident at Turn 14” during Saturday’s opening race, the global governing body of motorcycle racing, Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM).
Authorities took Victor to Faro Hospital with serious head injuries, where he later passed away.
Despite the unbearable loss and grief, his family was extremely proud to share the racer was able to save five other people by donating his organs.
How Did Victor Steeman Mother Flora van Limbeek Die?
Following the racer’s death, Victor Steeman’s mother tragically died due to a heart attack two days after her son’s untimely demise. His mother was 59 and suffered a cardiac arrest at home in the Netherlands.
According to Racesport, Victor’s mother, Flora van Limbeek also passed due to cardiac arrest on October 13, 2022. Moreover, his biggest fan suffered a cardiac arrest at home in Lathum.
His mother, Van Limbeek, had just returned home after her son’s death rituals. Following the cardiac arrest, several attempts to revive van Limbeek were unsuccessful.
Following the death of his family shared with 7NEWS in Australia reads, “The Steeman family would like to process this immense grief in peace.
We would like to kindly but urgently ask everyone to respect this request through this message. The kind request is, therefore, not to send cards or other attention to the home address in Lathum.”
