Florida resident Brittiny Lopez-Murray, 31, was detained on related charges a few days earlier. A New Jersey teacher was jailed in September on more serious charges of drugging and molesting a student.
On November 9, the Miami-Dade Attorney General’s Office decided to withdraw seven additional charges and only bring one against Heiry Calvi. The information was updated about a month after the Miami teacher, 41, was detained for dating a 15-year-old pupil at the John I. Smith K-8 Center.
Following the conclusion of the couple’s lengthy investigation by the Police, the DA first brought eight charges against Calvi.
On October 7, two days following her arrest, Calvi, expecting her husband’s child (not the student’s, as some had speculated), was freed on bail. She was scheduled to appear in court for a status hearing in 30 days and is thought to be eight months pregnant.

A pregnant Miami teacher was detained for having an affair with a 15-year-old student. Two days after her arrest, teacher Heiry Calvi, 41, was freed from custody on Saturday.
After “getting close” to the 15-year-old child at the Miami John I. Smith K-8 Center, she is accused of having sex with him both last year and earlier this year.
Calvi is also facing charges from the Doral Police Department for lewd and lascivious battery. Heiry even had disturbing images and videos along with her credit card.
A Police inquiry was started when she allegedly gave him obscene images via WhatsApp, and he is claimed to have shown other children videos of them having sex.
According to the report, the teenage kid told detectives that all his sexual actions with Calvi were voluntary.
According to the Police, Calvi also gave the youngster one of her credit cards, and the two attended gatherings together while pretending to be an aunt and nephew to other visitors.
It is unknown if Calvi is married or if the teen boy’s child is expected to be born to her. As she was being checked into jail last week, she told the guards about her illness, according to CBS Miami.
The charges were originally brought to Police’s attention in March 2021. On Saturday, October 9, 2021, she was observed cradling her tummy as she walked out of jail.

Heiry Calvi’s whereabouts are unknown as of October 2022. Calvi was detained after being accused of engaging in an illicit connection with a 15-year-old minor child, but she was granted bail on October 9, 2021.
The Department of Children and Families referred Heiry Calvi, 41, to the John I. Smith K-8 Center teacher in March, according to Doral Police.
According to the Police, the school took her out of the classroom and assigned her to administrative tasks, meaning she had no contact with the students.
Calvi is accused of committing violations against kids while in a position of responsibility, neglecting a child without causing grave bodily injury, and having a gun on school grounds.
According to the Police report, the handgun was discovered in her vehicle at a traffic encounter on October 8. It had a round in the chamber and was a loaded Glock 43 9mm.
According to the report, Calvi informed authorities that the gun belonged to her spouse and was constantly in the car.
