English Quizzer, Anne Hegerty Illness made several headlines after she shredded three stones removing ingredients from her meal.

The 64-year-old quizzer played “The Governess” in the ITV game program The Chase. Apart from her quiz career, Anne competed on the eighteen series of the ITV reality show I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! in 2018.

Anne has been a chaser in the ITV game show The Chase since 2010. She joins other brilliant minds, including Shaun Wallace, Mark Labbett, Paul Sinha, Darragh Ennis, and Jenny Ryan.

The Chase coach appeared in several other quiz series, such as Are You an Egghead?, Brain of Britain, Today’s the Day, Mastermind, and Fifteen to One. The quizzer and fellow UK chaser Labbett are both chasers on the Australian version of the program on the Seven Network.

During the 2016 World Quizzing Championships, the quizzer ranked 55th worldwide and second among women. Later, Anne participated in the Bolton Premier Quiz League and claimed the crown as the Brain of Bolton Twice.

What Illness Does Anne Hegerty Have?

At 45, Anne had Asperger syndrome, which was not diagnosed until 2003.

In 2022, she was featured on the ITV program DNA Journey when Sources revealed that she is of Scottish descent and is both a descendent of Robert the Bruce and a distant relative of Elizabeth II.

In aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital, Anne joined 26 other celebrities at Metropolis Studios to record an original Christmas song called Rock With Rudolph, released by Saga entertainment.

The Governess has spoken out about how she has increased her confidence and maintained the weight she shed while competing on I’m A Celeb.

Her Chase co-quizzer Mark Labbett lost three stone on his weight loss journey and initially weighed 27 stone.

The Quiz Champion spoke to Jeremy Vine about her weight and said she was not unhealthy in 2019.

Anne explained to the hosts of ITV’s This Morning that her lack of salt in her diet caused her to lose weight on the program.

During Anne’s appearance on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! Where campers have a simple diet of beans and rice. As per Express. UK, she said that her experience helped her lose weight, and she lost a stone in just three weeks.

Born in 1958 in Westminster, she revealed that although she was okay at maintaining friendships, she had social anxiety. The quizzer prefers being alone rather than with a lot of people.
